No Job Too Small!!!    About Carpentergod You might think it is arrogant to hear of someone called Carpentergod, so let me tell you where the name came from.A contractor once told his architect buddy that I could turn water into wine after I finished a job in Historic Edgefield and that was the beginning. At the age of 9 I started doing simple things with wood under the direction of my dad, who was a cabinetmaker/homebuilder. He taught me to take pride in my work,and how to solve problems with building and remodeling homes.It is one thing to draw a blueprint.It is another to actually build it. As I got older I found this to be very true after working with an architect or two. There is no substitute for knowledge and experience in the building business. Especially the experience part. You learn by doing,not talking about it.It can't be learned in a classroom,only in the field. The picture above is 800 Russell St. in Edgefield.I restored this house to it's original state (1886).
